Apple Watch RePod Size Guide: Match Your Watch to the Right Case

The right RePod size is the one matched to your exact Apple Watch model—not simply the number that looks closest. Apple Watch dimensions describe a watch case family, while RePod’s opening, controls, and shell are designed for specific fit groups. Check the watch first, then select the matching RePod option in the current product listing.

Step 1: identify the watch you own

Look at the engraving on the back of the watch for its model and case size. Apple’s Apple Watch identification guide lists case sizes by generation and explains where to find the model information. If you are buying for someone else, ask for a photo of the back of the watch rather than guessing from the band or the screen.

Step 2: match the RePod family and fit group

RePod C is the standard-size family. Current consumer fit materials group its options by watch generations: 40/44mm, 41/45mm, and 42/46mm. These groups are a starting point for choosing the matching listing option; they are not a guarantee that every watch with one of those numbers fits every shell. The generation and exact opening still matter.

RePod U and RePod P are 49mm Ultra families. U is the aluminum-alloy Standard direction; P is the zinc-alloy Punk direction. Both are designed around the Ultra-size watch family, but select the exact product option and confirm the supported Apple Watch model before checkout.

Why the millimeter number is not the whole answer

Apple has updated case dimensions over time. For example, its current model guide lists 42mm and 46mm sizes for Series 11, 40mm and 44mm for SE 3, and 49mm for Ultra 3. A shared number can still cover different generations, while two sizes in one RePod consumer group may have different display openings. That is why a compatibility chart should be read by model and size together.

Do not use Apple Watch band compatibility as proof that a case fits. Bands and cases are different parts with different fit requirements. Also check that a listing describes your exact model rather than assuming that a similar-looking watch is interchangeable.

A quick fit checklist

  • Read the model and millimeter size from the back of the watch or Apple’s identification page.
  • Choose the RePod family: C for the standard-size line, U or P for the 49mm Ultra line.
  • Match the exact size group shown in the current product listing.
  • Check the watch generation and any model notes before ordering.
  • Remember that the RePod case does not include an Apple Watch.

When you are still unsure

Compare your watch against the Apple Watch case size compatibility guide and the fit information on the product page. If the exact generation is not listed, pause and ask before ordering. A correct model check is safer than relying on a case number alone, and it helps make sure the watch’s screen and controls line up with the shell as intended.
